On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, the BBFI Mission Office hosted Missions Morning at the BBFI September National Meeting held at Park Crest Baptist Church in Springfield, MO. This event featured a variety of exciting updates and announcements. Here are some of the highlights from the morning:
Jon Konnerup took the stage to kick off the morning with an update on the new building project for BBFI Missions. During this segment, he announced the official groundbreaking event would be held on Friday, October 7, 2022. This new project features retirement housing for missionaries, a new Mission Office building, an event center, and short-term housing for missionaries traveling through the Springfield area. Jon Konnerup was joined on stage by Mark Milioni, President of Baptist Bible College, for two special announcements regarding missions education.
First, they announced a brand-new Missions Certificate Program developed through the combined efforts of BBC and the BBFI Mission Office. This new program is designed for anyone wanting to go deeper in world missions and also for BBFI Missionary candidates, as it includes all six courses required for BBFI Career Missionary Approval. The entire program is available now for the low cost of $1,995.
Second, President Milioni announced that BBC is working to partner with and support BBFI Missionaries who oversee and/or are seeking to develop international colleges and institutions of higher education in order to educate, inspire, and equip international students to serve as effective Christian leaders. These new partnership opportunities come in three categories:

Lonnie Lehrman, Pastor of Granbury Baptist Church in Granbury, TX, talked about the important work done by the Mission Office. He challenged pastors to make sure their churches financially support the Mission Office and get behind the new building project.
Jon Konnerup was joined on stage by BBFI 1st VP of Missions, John Theisen, and Pastor Dennis Jennings for the approval of Kevin and Stacey Adams as BBFI Missionaries to the field of Wales. Please be in prayer for them and their family as they begin the process of raising their support.
Brian Garrison introduced recently accepted WIN Missionaries headed to Greece, Micheal & Shaleena Quinlan. Following the introduction, Michael gave a passionate testimony of God working in their lives and the work that is going on in Greece.
Craig Stevenson took the stage to talk about the importance of PROJECT 938 and the many 938 resources available for pastors, churches, and missionaries for 938 Sunday. For more information on PROJECT 938, please visit project938.world.

Jon Konnerup closed Missions Morning with a challenge to the Baptist Bible Fellowship International to continue to stay passionate about missions and reach our world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
