Some believe artificial intelligence will usher in a utopian age for humanity. Others think it will enslave us and our new overlords will dictate their will to the point of our destruction. Thankfully, we already know how the story ends, so any conjecture in this area is science fiction and/or comical. So what is AI good for, and can we use it as a tool to complete tasks? I think so, just don’t put your full faith in it. It makes mistakes, a lot of mistakes; it’s a copy of lines of thought and reasoning from a fallen world, specifically mankind. But don’t let that scare you away from using it as a tool to complete tasks and save time.
I spent a lot of time researching various AI tools and submitted my findings to ChatCPT which organized it into the article below. It took seconds. I hope you’ll take time to read it.
“In the digital age, AI tools have become indispensable for various tasks, including aiding missionaries in their work and streamlining content creation for others. For missionaries in foreign countries, ChatGPT serves as a valuable companion. It breaks down language barriers by providing real-time translation services, making communication with local communities seamless. Additionally, ChatGPT offers insights into local customs and traditions, facilitating a deeper understanding of the communities being served. It also assists in language learning by providing a safe space for practice.
In the realm of productivity, Notion with AI integration, specifically the “continue writing” feature, streamlines the content creation process, making it a valuable tool for writers.
The world of AI and video offers numerous opportunities for creativity. Kaiber and RunwayML provide advanced features for video and image editing, while Leia Pix and Deep Nostalgia can bring images to life. For video editing, Gling and Timebolt are AI-driven options that will cut silences and bad takes from your “talking head” or interview videos. Munch, Vidyo, and Capcut simplify the process of transforming long-form videos into shorter, more engaging content, while Capcut is known for its trendy captions.
For those looking to improve their video aspect ratio, “Smart Reframe” (Da Vinci) and “Auto Reframe” (Premiere) automatically adjust video formats for vertical viewing. Music enthusiasts can enhance their videos with Soundraw and Mubert, with Mubert offering free use with attribution.
In the audio realm, Eleven Labs offers the Voice Cloner, and Adobe Podcast Voice Enhancer ensures top-notch audio quality. Graphic design enthusiasts can explore Photoshop’s “Generative Fill”, AutoDraw for logo creation, and Looka for logo and brand generation. Text-to-photo transformation is made possible by Midjourney in Discord and OpenAI’s DALL-E.
Artistic creativity is at your fingertips with free AI art generators like Pollinations AI, BlueWillow, and Playground AI. You can stay updated on the latest AI innovations through Future Tools.”
AI has a lot to say about “itself”, and is pretty prideful about how “it” thinks it can deliver, but remember the humans behind it are trying to make a lot of money.
“Embrace the power of AI to enhance your mission, streamline content creation, and make your work more efficient. The future is AI-powered, and it offers a world of possibilities for creativity and productivity.” – ChatGPT
AI is also being made out to be the end-all for everything, but don’t let that bother you. The missionary will always have a job in this Age of Grace. I recommend checking some of these things out and enjoy saving time with tools you can use. As always read and follow copyright laws before using it in your materials, and have fun with it.
