Greetings from Springfield!
The new building is moving along. The punch list of final things to fix and finish is pretty much done. We are planning to move our offices the week of March 11th. We will be closed for a few days to make the move. However, we will still be available for emergency situations. Some of us might be up and running before the end of that week. We will keep you posted.
My trip to the Philippines was a blessing to me. It was a joy to preach in four different churches, train new missionaries, and preach in a mission conference. At the end of the conference, 31 surrendered to world missions. How exciting is that? Near the end of March, I will be going back to the Philippines but this time to Cebu to be a part of the mission conference where Bob Hughes was and Dr. Jesalva has been the pastor. Kent Jesalva, the son, is now the pastor of that great church. Then, I will fly to Cambodia to visit with our missionaries and see what the Lord is doing there.
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” Ephesians 6:10
I think of this portion of Scripture often to remind me that I can have daily victory in my Christian journey. We are in a spiritual war. I have reminded many to remember this verse as they go through some tough times. Here’s a few things to remember about being victorious:
1. Satan is already a defeated enemy.
2. We have the power of Christ within us.
3. Through Christ we can resist the Devil.
4. We must keep our spiritual armor on all the time.
5. Let Christ control our words, deeds and attitudes.
6. Pray fervently, faithfully and without ceasing.
We have all the resources we need in Jesus to be victorious. I hope you will enjoy that sweet victory every day as you serve the Lord right where He wants you to be. Oh, Victory in Jesus!
Your friend,
