We have some exciting news regarding our IMG Medical plan. Effective June 1, 2024, we will have a new network, United Healthcare Options PPO (UHC).
There are no changes to our coverage, only the network.
UHC has one of the largest networks in the US along with great brand recognition. This change should provide you more healthcare options when looking for providers in the US. For those enrolled in our Medicare plan, we expect this change to eliminate the crossover issues many of you have had.
Please make note of these dates and changes:
First Health Network Ends May 31, 2024. Destroy and discontinue using current ID Cards after this date.
UHC Effective June 1, 2024 – Please download your new ID card from MYIMG. It will be available starting on 5/15/24. New Plastic Cards will be mailed in coming weeks.
Stateside – Update ALL PROVIDERS and PHARMACIES effective June 1, 2024.
If you have upcoming procedures or surgeries already scheduled for June 1 or after, notify provider as soon as possible regarding network change. However, if you have already been pre-certified you will not have to update precertification.
New Card Changes – New Network (UHC), New ID/Plan Numbers, New phone number & claim address for US Providers. All US charges in and out of network should be submitted to UHC through your provider. Please do not pay when provider is willing to submit claim. If you forget your card, call us. ONLY in cases where a provider will not file should you pay directly. Then you will complete claim form and submit claim to IMG as you currently do. RX Copays will no longer show on card (no change from current copays.)
The IMG direct phone number for Member Services and claims address for outside the US remain the same. Filing claims online for reimbursement outside of the US remains the same. The Universal RX information remains the same.
We will mail your new cards as soon as possible. We anticipate receiving them from IMG around May 15. I will send out a second email when the cards have been mailed letting you know they are on the way. Cards will be mailed to the address we have on file for you. Please make sure we have your correct address prior to May 15.
ALL CARDS WILL BE MAILED TO THE PRIMARY ACCOUNT HOLDER. You will be responsible for getting them to your dependents if they are not at the same address. You also have the option to download dependent cards and email them as well.
For those on HOLD MAIL, the cards will be held with your other mail. If you want them mailed, please email me the address you want them sent to.
As with any change of this magnitude there is the possibility for glitches. Should a provider be unable to confirm your benefits with UHC, have them call IMG’s dedicated member service number (1-317-316-8198). This number will be on your new card as “General Telephone” and is available 24/7.
I am so excited for this change, and I hope you are too! As always, should you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out. (ngaines@bbfimissions.com)
