We are excited to welcome Chad Braymer as our newest BBFI Associate Mission Director! With a lifelong love for missions, which brought about firsthand experience on the field, he brings fresh eyes and passion to engage many more laborers for the harvest.
We encourage you to get acquainted with Chad either by calling our office or contacting him at cbraymer@bbfimissions.com. To get you started, here are a few Q & A’s.
Tell how and when you came to the Mission Office and what your role is.
I came to the Mission Office in December 2024, and my role is recruiting and mobilizing.
Tell us about your family and your connection to missions.
My wife Jennifer and I have three daughters, Chloe 17, Nora 14, and Chelsea 13. Jennifer and I were raised in pastor’s homes, and each of our churches had missionaries in all the time. Jennifer and I each surrendered to be missionaries on mission trips as teenagers.
Tell us about your past involvement in missions.
I served as the youth pastor at Stillwell Bible Baptist Church in Clarksville, Arkansas, for 14 years, where one of my key responsibilities was organizing trips for both teens and adults. Over the years, we took numerous trips to visit our missionaries and witness firsthand what God was doing around the world. In 2015, God opened the door for our family to serve as missionaries in Costa Rica, where we remained until November 2024.
Outside the Bible, do you have a favorite book or author?
I enjoy reading, but I don’t have a single favorite book or author. I appreciate engaging stories, such as The Boys in the Boat or the Sherlock Holmes mysteries. I also like books about historical events that are new to me. Also, I often read book series with my daughters, even if they’re not typically geared toward my age group.
What indoor/outdoor activities bring you the most enjoyment?
I enjoy playing soccer and golf, and I’d like to try more pickleball. I also enjoy going for walks with my family. We’re very competitive and often play card games and board games, which can get pretty intense!
What is your favorite restaurant and what do you order?
My favorite restaurant would be anywhere with a great chicken fried steak.
What would you like to accomplish while working in the Mission Office?
My goal is to help church members deepen their interest and love for missions. This could involve encouraging them to start reading missionary letters and praying for their needs at their church, supporting missions financially, or even considering short- or long-term missionary work themselves. I believe the Mission Office has done an excellent job creating resources and tools to support this, and I want to encourage people to get involved with what God is doing around the world.
