Jesus said the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few (Matthew 9:37). The truth is that there are more people ready to hear about Jesus than there are people to go and tell them. The BBFI used to have more college students in training, pastors, and missionaries worldwide than we have today. Our numbers are declining. Over the last five years we have lost nearly 100 missionaries due to resignations and deaths. At the same time, the world’s population has increased to over 8 billion people. The world is in desperate need of the Gospel. This tragic fact ought to drive us to our knees in prayer. That is exactly what Jesus tells us to do in Matthew 9:38.
Would you and your church(es) join us in praying for the nations? While we believe that God is still calling, we must fervently pray for more to answer that call to serve Him with their lives and take the Gospel to the nations. Let’s come together on Sunday, October 5 with this purpose and watch God do something amazing!
