Once again, we eagerly press towards this year’s Project 938 Day of Prayer slated for October 4th. Even with seeing God call many into His harvest, it is imperative that we continue praying for God to call more according to Matthew 9:38.

Below are points for you to consider and share with your church leading up to the Day of Prayer:

WHY PROJECT 938?

• The world is in turmoil, people are living in fear, and they are desperately searching for answers.
• The world population is growing at an alarming rate.  With this growth comes a greater responsibility to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
• There are currently more opportunities to spread the Gospel than ever before.
• Therefore it is imperative that we see men and women answering God’s call to missions.

WHAT IS PROJECT 938?

• PROJECT 938 is an intentional call for concerted prayer, that men and women will hear and surrender to the call of God to take the Gospel to every region and people group of the world.
• In Matthew 9:38, we are commanded to pray for more laborers to fulfill the Great Commission by sharing the Gospel everywhere and to everyone. 
• In response to this command, the BBFI Mission Office is continuing PROJECT 938 (designed after Matthew 9:38) to rally the churches of the Baptist Bible Fellowship International to pray for more laborers.

HOW DOES THIS WORK?

• Go directly to our Project 938 website at project938.world. Here you will find instructions, talking points, and all kinds of resources to encourage you and people to pray for more laborers.
• Encourage your church to pray every day at 9:39 am and/or pm for more laborers as Jesus commanded us to do in Matthew 9:38.
• Use the resources every week and month to remind your people of the importance of praying for more laborers throughout the year.
• PROJECT 938 will culminate on October 4, 2026, with 938 SUNDAY.  On this date, the BBFI Mission Office is encouraging every church in the Baptist Bible Fellowship International to come together and pray for more laborers. Many from around the world join us each year. Plan to join us.

• The 938 Podcast is available live twice a month starting in March or on our YouTube channel BBFImissions. These present information from around the world, missionary interviews, and ways to get involved in missions.
• One-minute-videos – will be released each month and available for download at project938.world. These are intended to be shown in church services and Bible study groups throughout each month. Reports from around the world and mission opportunities will be presented in these short videos.
