This spring, the Mission Office has been busy connecting with students, speaking in churches, responding to inquiries, and walking alongside new missionaries as they prepare for the approval process and begin training this July.
Here are a few highlights from recent events:
In February, Seminole Baptist Temple hosted its annual Student Mission Conference at the Mission Office Event Center. Student Pastor Luke Frank invited local churches to encourage students to “Bring Good News.” BBFI missionaries Esteban and Emily Alvarez, along with a CAN missionary family, challenged students to develop a global perspective and live for Christ daily. Mission Office staff also shared practical pathways for getting involved in global missions.

Mission Office staff also traveled to participate in the Career Expo at the College of the Ozarks, where they connected with students and shared opportunities available with the World Initiative Network (WIN).
Additionally, the Mission Office participated in two ‘Conversations with Missionaries’ events on the campus of Mission University this spring. Director of Student Services, Zach Stewart, invited BBFI missionaries to speak in chapel and connect with students afterward. Esteban Alvarez and Jared Paiz each participated on separate occasions, taking time to answer questions about the needs in their respective countries, future ministry opportunities, deputation, and what students can do now to prepare for a life of overseas service.

We have been asked to participate in several churches’ Mission Conference. Our directors always look forward to encouraging our churches and challenging the next generation of missionaries to step forward in faith.
If you are interested in having someone share these opportunities with your church or on a college campus in your community, please reach out, we would be glad to help. If you have questions about becoming a missionary or learning more about our different pathways, we would love to connect with you. Please call our office or email us at serve@bbfimissions.com.
