Perhaps you have always thought that Advanced Mission Training held every summer is really only for first or second year missionaries who are preparing to go to the field. But we would like to suggest that you reconsider whether any of the classes being offered could serve as an effective refresher if you are beyond your first/second year.
For those needing to get back on the fundraising trail, consider our Deputation Workshop. In this session, tips will be given on maintaining contact with pastors, connecting well with new churches, and effectively managing your time for phone calls and emails with potential supporters.
For those needing tips on how to produce a good video and use modern ‘marketing’ tools, consider attending the extensive three-hour session on Media and Ministry covering how to effectively utilize social media, email, and creating a quality video highlighting your ministry.
If mastering the Quarterly Report online or in the App has been challenging for you, then take advantage of the Quarterly Report App Refresher class where missionaries will review the steps and ask questions specific to their situation.
Or perhaps you feel on the verge of burnout. Then consider the two-hour session on Burnout and Stress. “As missionaries, we are most often asked to be chief cook and bottle washer. We pastor…sometimes multiple congregations. We shepherd, teach, develop curriculum, visit the sick and widows, counsel, clean the facilities, lead worship…and somehow try to find time for our family. This course will help you recognize and deal with certain triggers that cause stress on the mission field that could potentially lead to burnout.”
If you would like to register for, or have specific questions about, the courses, feel free to contact Chad Braymer at cbraymer@bbfimissions.com for more information.
