We are excited to welcome Mychelle Garrison as our newest BBFI Staff Member! With a lifelong love for missions, which brought about firsthand experience on the field, she brings fresh eyes and passion to engage many more laborers for the harvest.
We encourage you to get acquainted with Mychelle either by calling our office or contacting her at mgarrison@bbfimissions.com. To get you started, here are a few Q & As.
Tell how and when you came to the Mission Office and what your role is.
I started at the Mission Office on June 1 fulfilling a part of Jill Wolf’s position as the Missionary Family and Communications Coordinator. I have the privilege of working with the Missionary Kids and keeping pastors and missionaries informed through The Bridge and The Missionary Connection.
Tell us about your family and your connection to missions.
My parents, Ken and Carrie Liles are still missionaries to what I like to refer to as “The World”. They taught me a lot about missions and serving God with my life. My husband, Brian, and I were missionaries to Peru for 9 ½ years.
What favorite memory do you have growing up?
One of my favorite memories as a kid was when we lived in Iran and on hot nights, we would pull our mattresses out onto the flat roof and sleep under the stars.
What did you do before coming to work at the Mission Office?
For the last 12 years I have worked as an Administrative Assistant in two different school districts.
What would you like to tell your younger self?
God knows best and is worthy of your trust.
What indoor/outdoor activities bring you the most enjoyment?
I love to read, work on crafty things, decorate and bake but mostly, I love spending time with my family. In the last couple of years my children have introduced me to kayaking which I really enjoy.
Tell us what you are most passionate about in life and ministry.
That I would make a difference in the lives of those around me. That the people I come in contact with are drawn closer to the Lord after having spent time with me.
