Have you ever stopped to think about why the BBFI Mission Office is actually called The World Mission Service Center? Isn’t it really JUST a clearing house for missionary support? Or is it much more than that? In an effort to answer these questions and inform the pastors of our Fellowship about the services it provides, the BBFI Mission Office is hosting a number of Pastors’ Dinners in various locations across the country. The meetings will be held at a church or in an off-site location. A catered meal will be provided followed by a one-hour presentation that will focus on the many services that the Mission Office provides to churches and their missionaries. Pastors who have attended these meetings have been amazed with the efficient service the office is able to provide with such a small staff. In addition, pastors will walk away with some great missions-focused materials to use throughout the year as they promote missions in their church.
Call the Mission Office (417-862-5001) or email Jon Konnerup for more information about upcoming Pastors’ Dinners and their locations — or perhaps you would even consider hosting one in your region. There is no doubt you will come away knowing your missionaries are cared for and receiving excellent service. You will also be blessed to know the multiple ways that the Mission Office comes alongside you as a pastor to help with your missions program. I hope to see you at one of these special times of fellowship.
