New Field Reps were ratified at the September National Meeting in Kentucky last month. Field Reps serve a three-year term and approximately a third of those terms expire each year in September. Mission Director, Jon Konnerup, is tasked with contacting pastors to fill the vacancies that are created each September. One particular aspect of this process, which has proven to be very helpful to him, is involving the missionaries and asking them to recommend one or more pastors for consideration. Missionaries are encouraged to take time to reach out to their new Field Rep — introduce yourself, share some key aspects of your ministry, let him know how he can pray for you and add him to your list of Prayer Letter recipients. These new Field Reps will serve in their respective fields until September 2022. Missionaries can contact the Mission Office at any time to request information about their Field Rep.
One of the primary roles of the Field Representatives is serving on the Mission Field Committee. This committee is especially instrumental in assisting the Missions Director with the Candidate Interview Process that takes place at the May and September National Meetings. These pastors also function as an advisory council to the Missions Director in matters concerning BBFI missionaries.
