From the rigorous travels of deputation, continually working with foreign immigration to enter Canada, learning the French language AND culture, as well as the nuances of French Québec thinking, Tim & Kim have seen the miracles of our Saviour continually. Their goals from deputation remain the same, with a few others added to them: Evangelizing, Baptizing and Discipling souls, Establishing French, New Testament, Bible-Believing, Baptist Churches and Equipping God-called servants for the ministry, with the addition of two others, Educating Christians through well-translated materials and Mentoring Younger Pastors to avoid mistakes that others have made! Even through the trials of life as their then 18-year-old daughter had the first of seven brain surgeries, and all that it entailed, the faithfulness of the Lord sustained them, as well as others along the journey!
Tim is often asked by friends and relatives, when they will be coming back to the States. “The Lord could do that, He says, if He wanted to, but I believe that the Lord has not finished with us! There are still more Quebecers that need the Lord Jesus Christ; there is a great need for labourers (for which I pray every day!). There is also the constant need for encouraging those that are serving.”
Estelle Piché was their first disciple, and she has become a real servant of the Lord. Her father started to read the Bible daily, for about three years. On July 13, 2004, Tim led him to Christ; the next day, that 83-year old man passed into eternity. With tears, she expressed her gratitude to the person that led him to Christ! Tim & Kim also think of Jocelyn, a 45-year old practicing Catholic, having thoughts different than those that the Bible teaches. He came to the Lord a few years ago, and Tim just baptized him this past January. Steve and Caroline started living together in December of 2015, and they were saved the following April. After the Lord convicted them of their need to be married, they were just married on August 31st of this year! God is saving souls, establishing churches (of which the LaLondes have helped to establish six) and folks are learning to be obedient to His Word.
While pointing us to I Thessalonians 5:24, which reads, “Faithful is he that calleth you, who will also do it.”; Tim wrote: “How can you put 30 years into two paragraphs? Sensing God’s hand on His calling, seeing HIM do it, both in us and through us these years has been truly amazing! Pray for us! That the Lord would give us more fruit for His glory!
