(a recent prayer letter from Tarl & Adrienne Reeves, England)
Our church was fortunate to resume in-person gatherings for September and October for all our services after England started relaxing lockdown rules for places of worship. As long as we followed COVID-secure procedures during service times, we were allowed to meet. However, starting in November, the UK is beginning another lockdown which will last at least four weeks and will once again close our building. Please pray for us as we continue our ministry despite these circumstances.
At the beginning of September, our church relaunched our Friday night youth club for teenagers. We are thankful that our church can offer this much needed ministry which focuses on creating an enjoyable atmosphere for Bible lessons, worship, discussion, and fellowship for the youth of our church.
Also, in September, our church began weekly small groups for further Bible study and fellowship. We have one small group for in-person meetings and one small group on Zoom for those that are still quarantining or at high risk. Our six month missionary intern, Kaylynn, has also started a small group for young women. Please pray for each of these small groups as they continue to grow.
“Did you know that in Britain, there are fewer than 20,000 Christian clergy of all types and more than 80,000 registered witches and fortune tellers?”
In October, we were blessed to have a baptism service for a wonderful Hungarian family of five that all came to know the Lord in 2020. It was incredible to be able to baptize this whole family on the same day with their friends and family watching from all around the world! We are thankful for what God has done in their lives and for bringing them to our church. Please pray for them as they take their next steps as followers of Christ.
Thank you for your prayers concerning our children and their return to school. They have all settled back into their routines, and we are thankful that schools continue to remain open despite the new lockdown ‘that came’ in November.
Please pray for us as we prepare for our church’s Christmas outreaches.
