We are thrilled to welcome Janette Lange to our office as Donations Manager. A lot of prayer and consideration goes into selection of a new employee. As you get to know Janette, you will see how well God answered that prayer! If you would like to communicate with her, feel free to call the office or email her at jlange@bbfimissions.com.
Janette shared some fun facts about herself and her love for missions:
Tell how and when you came to the Mission Office and what your role is.
I began working at the Missions Office in mid-August and am the Donations Manager. I enter the contributions and process the receipts to the donors.
Tell us about your family and your connection to missions.
My dad, Floyd Hendricks, was a BBFI pastor who dearly loved missions, so I grew up loving missionaries and the work God is doing around the world. I married a pastor, Jason Lange, and we continue to support and promote missions and missionaries. Some of our dearest friends are BBFI missionaries.
What is one thing that few people know about you?
I had a year-round Christmas tree for two years (one year at home and one year in my school classroom where I taught 4th and 5th grade). We decorated it for each season / holiday. The summer beach tree décor and the autumn tree décor were my favorite. The poor tree struggled to survive after being up for so long . . . it became quite needle-bare! But our kids still ask if we can please do it again! Maybe 2022 will be the year . . .
What indoor/outdoor activities bring you the most enjoyment?
Indoors: Painting barn quilts. The variety of patterns and colors is great fun, and they’re easier to make than real quilts! I always watch for them when we are driving in the country too.
Outdoors: Hiking in the fall! Seeing the fall leaves, especially from a scenic point, takes my breath away.
What are some favorite books you have read?
Where do you enjoy going on vacation and why?
The beach or the mountains (steep, picturesque mountains). The sheer beauty of those two distinctly different land areas that God has made . . . I can never get enough of them, I never grow tired of seeing them.
What do you like most about working in the Mission Office?
The people. They do their jobs with excellence, are patient with me as I learn, and are FUN to work with.
