The September National Fellowship Meeting was a great success. Two new families were approved as career missionaries and we had a very good missions-focused service on Wednesday morning promoting missions and missionaries. The Town Hall meeting went well — the discussion included the three following topics:

1. Number of national meetings per year — they discussed moving to one.
2. Missionaries having more of a voice in Fellowship matters.
3. Structure of the leadership of the Fellowship – i.e. taking a closer look at the number of State Representatives needed.

BIG NEWS!!!  We have cancelled the Missionary Reunion for June 2020. The main reason is because of the time needed to plan and prepare for the Global 2020 Meeting in Costa Rica which is scheduled for the first week of July. We plan to have the Reunion again in June 2021.

I just returned from a two-day planning session with the pastors and leaders in Costa Rica along with John and Karry Barnes. They are working very hard to make this a wonderful event that I believe will truly glorify God. There is so much to share but I won’t take time to do that in this letter. What I can say is that I sure hope you are planning to attend and maybe bring a national pastor with you. Also, because of the Global Meeting being July 6-9, 2020, we are moving the dates for Candidate School training to the week of July 20-25, 2020 so that we have a week in between the two events which will allow us to make final preparations for Candidate School. ALSO – that brings me to more Big News – we are changing the name of Candidate School to Advanced Mission Training. We are discussing some new ideas that include doing a lot more training with sending pastors, pastors, youth pastors, current missionaries, and newly approved missionaries. This will all coincide with whatever decision the pastors make regarding national meetings for 2021.

Well, there you go – some changes ahead as we look to the future. Please try and attend the Global meeting if possible. It will bless and encourage you and you will be a blessing to the Costa Rican believers and to those who come from all over the world. It will be a little taste of what heaven will be like.
