(a recent prayer letter received from Kevin & Sarah Pine, England)
We want to wish you all a lovely upcoming Fourth of July holiday. We will be celebrating here with a family BBQ in the evening. The kids are both still in school, which feels really strange, but it happens every year. Maybe one day, we’ll get used to it.
With the British school year coming to a close in a few weeks, we are gearing up for camp the 22-26 of July. We want to thank again, all the churches that have given to help us put on Junior Camp this year. We’re just waiting for all the supplies to arrive, but the leaders are set and we have around 20 junior campers attending this year. Some are brand new, and many from last year have moved up to Senior Camp, so if you could be in prayer for all the kids and leaders that will be attending both Junior and Senior camp this year. We hope that God will work on many hearts, and we’ll see salvations and decisions made in these young lives.
Things at New Life are still going well. Our numbers have been down the past few weeks, but yesterday everyone came back and we had 28 in attendance. Praise the Lord! It is such a blessing when the building is full, kids are running around playing, and conversations – sometimes in multiple languages – are taking place after service with a cup of tea and good fellowship.
Our family will be back in the States for three weeks in August to celebrate Kevin’s parent’s 50th Anniversary. We are looking forward to the time with family, and hopefully can pick up a couple of new supporting churches while we’re there. Leaving the UK does mean we’ll be leaving New Life in the hands of George and Ginnie Green, our associate pastor and his wife. Please pray for them as they lead without us, and that God will work through and in them during that time.
Thank you so much for all your continued prayers and support.
