A recent survey revealed some very surprising facts about financial planning:

• Only 33% of Americans have a Will in place, but 60% indicate that it is very important
• When asked, “Why not?”, more people are saying they “don’t know how to get one.”
• A mere 1 out of 3 have done any type of Estate Planning

Another study showed that most people who make charitable contributions to non-profit organizations do so because they believe in their cause and the organization is making a significant impact.  What greater cause is there than reaching the Nations for Christ?

One last interesting note…we are in the midst of the Great Wealth Transfer.  Over the next few decades somewhere between $40-140 trillion will change hands from one generation to the next.

It doesn’t take an expert to see the writing on the wall: there are countless individuals and families, currently and in the future, with tremendous assets who would love to make a sizeable contribution toward seeing the Kingdom of God advance all around the world!  Some of these people are in your churches. The biggest problem is that they simply do not know where to begin.

And that’s where the Mission Office would like to offer some help.  I would love to have the opportunity to host an informational/educational seminar in your church, or even a central location in collaboration with other area churches.  The target audience would primarily be seniors.  This brief presentation (45 – 60 minutes) would give a broad overview of the importance of Charitable Estate Planning and provide them with some practical and efficient ways to give to their favorite causes.
