Raptim Humanitarian Travel is an advocate for faith-based and humanitarian travelers and negotiates with the airlines for special airfares for those doing serving work that include many benefits and are cost effective too. Raptim is part of a global non-profit foundation with a goal to help those doing serving work and to assist in getting more people to serve through special travel services. Through the foundation we are a part of the global non-profit community.
The airline contracts have improvements in the fares and benefits on an ongoing basis so it is always best to check what is the most up-to-date quote for you. If you received a quote that doesn’t work for you for that particular trip, it doesn’t mean there isn’t a better one for your next trip—always use us as another resource and get a free quote.
Negotiated Airline Fares for Non-Profit Travelers and Standard Airfares Offered Too
Fares negotiated for non-profit travelers vary by airline, but here are some of the benefits of which one or more will apply to a traveler’s reservation and ticket.
Raptim’s International Travel Consultants offer other optional airfares beyond the negotiated fares as well. Then, it’s the traveler arranger’s or traveler’s choice for the fare they want to purchase. Quotes are offered for non-profit travelers departing from and to any country. The team of Travel Consultants your organization would work with is located in the U.S. but can issue tickets worldwide. If a traveler is located outside the U.S., all can be handled through email—although, our Travel Consultants are eager to speak with travelers personally if they wish to call.
We serve individual travelers, small teams, and groups of 10 or more traveling together.
24/7 Emergency Service
A 24/7 Emergency Service is also available for all travelers. We’ll help face problems along the way—a flight gets cancelled, the airline has a strike, there is a natural disaster, there is a terrorist attack, etc. Our staff is available 24 hours a day—every day!
When problems arise, most often the airlines want to reschedule a traveler on their airline even if it is 3 days later or something very inconvenient and more expensive. By purchasing tickets through Raptim, we have the ability to potentially get full or partial refunds from a traveler’s ticketed airline and get a traveler booked and ticketed on another airline so they may continue on their journey with less inconvenience and less cost.
Example: Two travelers from a mission agency were in Turkey at the time of the coup a couple of years ago. One purchased their ticket from Raptim and the other online. The Raptim traveler contacted our 24/7 emergency service and Raptim assisted in getting a refund on his original ticket and ticketed him on a different airline which would make his departure be as soon as the airport opened. No additional expense was incurred by this traveler. The traveler that purchased their ticket online spent 3 days just trying to get through to the airline on which they were ticketed and incurred many additional expenses for hotel, meals, etc. just trying to get assistance from the airline.
Duty of Care, Traveler Tracking, Crisis Info
Raptim operates a Crisis Management Team around the clock. When there are low to high level crises occurring which may affect our passengers, from weather conditions to terrorist attacks, our Crisis Management Team puts forth alerts to our travel consultants and runs reports showing which travelers we have ticketed may be affected. There are varying degrees of crisis and they are managed accordingly.
For Raptim’s part of duty of care, we send email alerts to the email address listed in a reservation record according to the nature of the world event that may affect a traveler’s journey. There is no fee for this service.
