(a recent encouraging note from Temple Baptist Kids Ministry, Marshfield MO)
We recently finished the BBFI Kidz4Missionz curriculum, learning about the continent of Africa. We all, adults included, truly enjoyed learning about each country and our BBFI missionaries there. We especially enjoyed sharing the ministry in Botswana and telling the kids that our church supports the Workmans on a monthly basis.
Throughout the lesson series, we collected a Missions offering each Sunday, waiting to open it to see our total on the last Sunday of our lessons. We were excited to find that they had collected $24.13. After the series, we gave a Missions presentation in our Adult Morning Worship service showing and telling them what we had learned through the past several months. We also told them about our Missions Love Offering and that we wanted to send it to your ministry. Then we challenged our congregation to that day match our offering. Imagine our surprise following the service when we were given a total from the adults of $205.00, for a grand total of $230.00! The kids were actually cheering!!
It’s been SO exciting to see their excitement each Sunday as we presented a new country, and watching them truly develop a love for others here in Marshfield (one of our young ladies led her friend to Christ and is praying for another!), and around the world!
We want to say thanks for your part of the Missions curriculum, sharing your ministry and heart to our kids. We also pray that one day one of our kids will surrender to God’s call to the Mission field!
