According to Worldmeters.info website, there are 385,000 babies born each day worldwide, resulting in 140,525,000 births a year.  Much more alarming is the fact that every year about 60 million people die, most of them without knowing Jesus Christ as their Savior.

For these very reasons, four years ago, the Mission Office instituted Project 938 based on  Matthew 9:38,

“Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.“

Project 938 has one objective, to move Christians to pray consistently and focused asking God to send more laborers into His harvest fields with the good news of the gospel. God definitely has not stopped calling His people to service but there is definitely a decline in God’s people surrendering to whatever spot in the harvest fields He has called them.

We are asking you to join with hopefully millions of Christians across the world in three important tasks.

• First of all, will you sincerely ask God to reveal to you where He desires you to be working in the harvest?
• Secondly, will you challenge/encourage those around you to seek God’s will for their life regarding serving in the harvest?  Most specifically as a couple, your children, grandchildren and those young people in your church that you have “adopted” to be a Christian mentor.
• Lastly, will you join thousands of local churches in a global effort on Sunday October 6, 2024, to focus on praying for people to surrender to take their place in the harvest field to help reach more people with the gospel — especially more of the 60 million people who will die this year without the assurance of knowing Jesus as their Savior?
