-a recent prayer letter from Christian & Shawna Hendrick (Congo)
Our furlough was a busy one. We were able to visit and update nine of our support churches. We finished out our time in the states with our home/sending church. We were so blessed by each and every place that we were at. They all poured out their love and support for us and the Congo Ministry. A big thank you to all of our support churches – we are blessed by you all. We do not take the prayer and support for granted. This ministry could not endure without you and the grace of our Lord.
We are so thankful for having a productive furlough and are so glad to now be back in Congo. We hit the ground running. We got to see and be with everyone at Kikanda Baptist Church. We are so thankful that, even while we were away, one couple came to know Christ. It is so awesome to see that now they are sharing the Gospel with others and that they see the importance of it.
We are so excited to share an update on the land that we purchased with your help. Work has begun. We are currently building a storage building that will store all the supplies that will be needed to start building the wall. The first phase that has begun will include the wall, septic system and water well. The second phase will be the church building and office. The third and final phase will be institute classrooms. We are happy to share that with all the funds we have been sent, we now have enough for the first and most of the second phase. We are now down to $70,000 needed to finish all phases. We praise God for all that you have given to this project.
Would you continue to pray that this land would glorify God and further His kingdom? We want many to come to Christ through this land and to train up many that will carry the Gospel to places we can not go. Again, thank you for those that have already given. If the Lord leads you to give for this project, THIS LINK will take you to our BBFI online giving page.
