What a blessing when God quickly filled a vacant position in our office. It appears that God was at work in the life of Kim Williams as well as He connected our needs with a perfect match.
Kim joined the Mission Office in June 2020 as the Recruiting Administrative Assistant to Craig Stevenson. It is always a joy to learn more about the people that God brings our way.
Tell us about your family.
I have been married to my husband Jon for 21 years and we have four children. Isabelle who is 20, Brendan who is 19, Olivia who is 17, and Jackson who is 15. Isabelle got married to her high school sweetheart Jonathan last year. So now we have a son-in-law as well!
Tell us about your family’s past involvement with missions.
Jon and I were approved to be Team missionaries in 2003 and Career missionaries in 2009. We served in Mexico City alongside my mother and father-in-law. Mark and Debbie Williams. I was blessed to be able to learn from them and to also serve in our feeding center there.
What activities does your family like to do?
Our family likes to discover new places, travel, go to baseball games, and be outdoors together.
How are you involved in your local church?
My husband, Jon is the music pastor at our church and I am also involved as a pastor’s wife. I have been involved in nursery, choir, and our small group since returning from the field in 2012.
Tell us about your favorite indoor/outdoor activity/hobby?
My favorite indoor hobby is probably cooking. I actually love to bake and I have done plenty of that since covid-19 hit. My favorite outdoor hobby is hiking and kayaking. I love being outdoors.
What do you like most about working in the Mission Office?
I like that I get to come to work and serve our missionaries alongside some pretty great people. I feel privileged to be able to pray for our missionaries at work every day. I have already been blessed being here.
