The BBFI Mission Office hosted the monthly meeting of the Missouri BBF pastors on Monday August 9. Among the more than 40 present were pastors, their wives, staff, several BBC staff, missionaries and Mission Office personnel.
After a tasty lunch from Qdoba, Mission Director Jon Konnerup opened the meeting with a powerful report of how God is continuing to use BBFI missionaries and national pastors all around the world to reach the lost and start new churches. The presentation concluded with an emphasis on the need for more missionaries and our responsibility to pray to the Lord of the Harvest to send more workers into these ripe fields.
Continuing that theme, we heard reports from several BBFI missionaries, emphasizing the need to pray for more laborers to join them in their respective mission fields. We also heard encouraging reports from BBC President Mark Milioni and Drs. Kevin Carson and Craig Dunning.
Chad Harkrider, pastor of Southside Baptist Church in Springfield, gave a powerful charge encouraging all pastors present to lead their churches in praying for more missionaries. The meeting concluded with a Season of Prayer led by Bob Stephenson, pastor of Graceway Baptist Church in Springfield.
The next regularly scheduled meeting of the MOBBF will be held on October 11 at Sonrise Baptist Church in Ozark, MO, hosted by Pastor Kevin Carson.
