(a recent prayer letter received from Randy Perkins, Australia)
Dear Extremely Faithful Partners,
As we ‘pen’/type this letter we are working in Hanoi and praising God for His faithfulness to us and yours! We are so aware that every missionary should have the “partners” we have – those who love, pray, and believe in what God is doing through the life of two ordinary people!!
It has been a crazy few months since we left the USA, but we have seen God’s hand so clearly in each flight, each continent, each mile, and through the lives of His servants. We arrived in Hanoi on 18 December after some frustrating times in waiting for our visas. Some things we will never understand and yet we know God makes no mistakes.
Upon arriving back in Hanoi, we moved into our “old apartment” we had two years ago, with joy!! That was totally a God plan and no rent increase, another God moment! We spent Christmas in Hanoi, and it was a special time with friends and just being able to reflect on God’s gifts to us over the last few years.
January 3, 2024 we headed for Australia! We spent two weeks teaching at a Bible College in our old stomping grounds, Southern Highlands. The first week was a Summer Refresher for adults and what a blessed time of sharing on Suffering from God’s View. The second week we spent with Korean students from Australia and China! Sharing with them the value of missions and evangelism. The highlight of our time in Australia was our two weeks teaching and being a part of our first grandchild getting married. We are blessed beyond measure.
We are now back in Hanoi and getting re-established in our apartment. The apartment is furnished with furniture but nothing else, we so have been ‘hunting and gathering’. Sometimes I secretly long for a Wal-Mart, Target, or something similar. We have had some great laughs finding things and then transporting them in a “grab,” like an Uber!!
We are back in the throes of ministry and loving every minute. Please pray for a few things as we get organized.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, I say your love and prayers are more than a picture and we love you!
