It is hard to believe our MyQReport App and website are a little over 3 years old. We have made some significant progress over those years within the app and website. Some of those changes brought on new challenges within the app to keep it working at 100%. I hate to say but several missionaries even gave up using the app/website because of those issues.
I am happy to report to you that we have signed a contract with a new developer to re-write our MyQReport app and website. I am confident that they will get it working as it should.
Since our previous developer housed both of our apps, we thought it best to move both the MyQReport app and the Mission Office app at the same time. For now, the Mission Office app will look and act the same. We need to focus all our efforts on making the MyQReport app work as we had originally hoped. In the future I can see us rewriting the Mission Office app to make it more appealing.
I do not currently have a timeline on when the new MyQReport app/website will be ready for you. The new developer was given the code for both apps and website earlier this week. They will spend the next several days combing through the code to see what needs to be uploaded to our new hosting site. After everything is uploaded, we will go live on the new server. I must mention that there is a possibility of a small downtime during this move of about one to two days. We will notify everyone beforehand if this is likely.
Since this conversion will take a few steps to get us to a “new and improved” website and app, the MyQReport app and website will look and act the same when we go live with the new developer. The next step will be to rewrite the MyQReport app/website which could take up to 30 days. That could put us into July for a go live date but that is also the beginning of a quarter which is probably not the best time to introduce something new. Joyce and I will be working together on the logistics of an official live date and get that out to you as we progress.
I hope this brings good news to those who have been so discouraged in the past.
