The update to the MyQR app/website continues to progress. We had expected it to be done by now, but the new developers ran into several issues when they received the files from the old developer. The new developers had hoped to use the base of the old app but had to completely re-write everything from scratch because it was not usable. That threw everything off by months.
The promising news is this app will work offline and sync data correctly. The concept of the old app was to work offline but it never worked as intended. The data that was sync’d was too big for slower connections so many users experienced duplicate or even triple transactions. This caused more work for many to have to go back in and remove those transactions so their Summary would balance correctly.
As of right now, the new app is running on iOS devices and the developers are working diligently to make sure the offline caching portion works. The goal is to still have both live by the end of the year. They should be handing over the app to us in a week or so to test and we might even ask a few of you to test if you have time.
With the app update we will also be updating some of the website- – mainly to match the colors of the new app. We hope to have that ready when we go live with the new app. The website URL is not changing, so you will still navigate to https://myqreport.com/login.php using your credentials from myBBFI.
I will share a sneak peak of the app in the link below. Ignore the username and password and click on the blue button labeled “Sign In” to view the app features. I have seen the prototype from the developer, and it does look the same.
