Let me share two new networking resources that could open up a world of opportunities to network with churches, pastors, other missionaries, prospects, visitors, and church members. The networking tools you need to check out are:
I didn't discover this, and I really want to give some credit to some really sharp missionaries. Typically when we have Advanced Missionary Training I teach about the latest and greatest. This year I was taken to school and learned about some of the newest opportunities to improve your networking game. A couple of our freshest missionaries, the Stephens and the Perezes, were able to show me something really cool and simple that could be a powerful tool for deputation, church planting, and furloughs.
First, let me tell you why I love them.
Popl is a replacement for the QR code with a tappable physical object, and the link I shared shows you the options. I have a love/hate relationship with QR codes - the square barcode you see on everything. They have to be scanned by a phone camera or app, and that can be frustrating sometimes. QR codes are also losing trust with consumers because hackers are utilizing them to scam people (don't scan a QR code unless it is a very trusted source.) Popl uses QR codes as a backup, but most phones today have NFC technology which will allow you to just tap the object without opening anything on your phone.
Here is a video that may explain it better:
Linktree is a way to put all your internet communications in one place. Social media, contact information, webpage, giving options, prayer letters, and whatever else you can think of can be accessible from one link.
