SCHOOL MINISTRY

Since returning from the US, we have been so blessed to be able to be a part of the Escuela Cristiana Oasis de la Gracia (Oasis of Grace Christian School) in Jinotepe. You may remember from 2020 that we were able to help finalize the building of this school. This year the school is up and running with over 70 students! As well as being a wonderful ministry, this school has provided a great opportunity for our girls to develop friendships with children their age, learn the language, and grow in their understanding of the culture. Also, Jaron has had the opportunity to evangelize and minister to several of the children. We are hoping and praying, along with Jason and Tammy Rogers, for the possibility of a new church plant near the school sometime soon!

CHURCH PLANTING

We have been able to re-connect with several of our contacts in La Concepcion; we are praying and seeking the Lord’s will regarding our next steps in church planting in that area. La Concepcion very much needs the Gospel, and we still have a burden to reach the community for Christ. Some of the people that we were connected with have fallen even farther down the destructive paths they were on previously. Even still, others have expressed an increasing interest in spiritual matters. We need your prayers for the genuine conversion of those who have heard the Gospel and for wisdom as we seek to honor God in our decision making.

PRAYER AND PRAISE

We are so thankful to announce that our residency renewal application was accepted! Thanks to Nicki’s parents in the states, we were able to get all necessary paperwork from Jaron’s doctor explaining why our return trip to Nicaragua was delayed. There were many pieces in motion, but God provided in all aspects. We are now in processing for our renewed residency. Please, continue to pray with us that we would receive our new residency cards soon.
