We have some exciting news to share with you. Effective January 3, 2025, you will have the opportunity to enroll in our new Tele-Med service, MDVirtualCare. This benefit is being provided to you by the Mission Office at zero cost! That’s right, it will not cost you anything to enroll or use. The only cost would be for any prescriptions you might have filled.

This new benefit will provide you the opportunity to enroll yourself and up to six additional individuals that can call and receive a free consultation from a medical provider any where in the world. Each family can have a total of 7 enrolled. This can be your adult children, grandchildren, parents, grandparents – anyone who would benefit from this service. They do not need to live with you or be enrolled on your medical plan.

It’s important to understand, this benefit is NOT through your medical plan with UHC/IMG. This is a stand-alone benefit that is being provided to you. However, the primary must be on one of our medical plans to be eligible for this benefit.

On January 3, 2025, you will receive a welcome letter via email from noreply@mdvirtualcare.com with the subject New Benefit Announcement – Activate Your MD Care Account. You will need to follow the instructions to activate this benefit. I hope you are as excited about this benefit as I am. It will be amazing to have access to a medical provider 24/7 and get advice and/or a prescription when needed. Keep in mind if you are out of the country, they will only be able to give you a consultation, not submit a prescription. For those stateside, you will provide the pharmacy information where you want to have your prescription sent and benefit from using your prescription coverage UNIVERSAL RX (if on file). You still pay for your prescriptions. It is the tele-med service that is free.
