The Mission Office was just notified that Robert Elam, Retired missionary to Brazil passed away this morning, August 18, at 1:00 am after suffering with cancer. Funeral arrangements have not been made but information will be posted here as soon as it is available

Please pray for his wife, Margery, and his family and friends as they celebrate his life.

Obituary

Dr. Robert Arthur Elam, 78, of Conway, AR passed away August 18, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Dr. Elam was born July 18, 1939 in Albuquerque, NM to John Day and Marjorie Nell Elam. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in DuPont, WA. He was a doctor, an author, and a missionary in Brazil for over 30 years. He loved the Lord, his family and many friends he made all over the world. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margery Elam of Conway, AR; one daughter and son-in-law, Laurel and John Callahan of Conway, AR; one brother, Ellis Ray Jones of Kansas; two sisters, Diane Slayter of Texas, Roxanne Berggren of Colorado; and three grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Grace Baptist Church in DuPont, WA with Rev. Wayne Rose officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 2813 128th Street East, Tacoma, WA, 98445.
