Wednesday morning of the recent BBFI National Fellowship meeting held at Sonrise Church in Clovis, California dedicated two hours to what has been called the “Strong Right Arm of the Fellowship” — World Missions.
The service began with a short video, The Gospel Harvest, reminding us it is ALWAYS all about Jesus. Following the video, Mission Director, Jon Konnerup, informed everyone regarding the progress of the new mission facility being built in Springfield, Missouri. The 30-acre property will house as Phase 1, the Mission Office complex, event center, short-term missionary apartments and two retirement complexes for retired missionaries. If all goes as planned, the office complex will be completed in January 2024.
As the morning progressed, George and Luisa Dimakos were recognized for their 30 years of ministry in Greece and Randy and Linda Perkins for 50 years as BBFI missionaries in Australia. Both of these couples are committed to continued faithful service for the Lord in their respective countries as long as the Lord gives them health to do so, or until His return. Sarah Worsham, recently accepted missionary in the World Initiative Network program (WIN), gave testimony of the call of God on her life to join and work alongside the Dimakos family in Greece thus highlighting the need for more workers to join in the Lord’s harvest fields. Director Konnerup then reminded everyone of the upcoming Project 938 Sunday on October 1, 2023. Project 938 is a reminder of Jesus’s words in Matthew 9:38 to pray for more laborers.
Steve Bender then brought a challenge from God’s Word reminding everyone that it is “The Gospel and only the Gospel that has the power to change the eternal destiny of a person’s soul”. Therefore, we need to be diligent in obeying the Lord’s command to go into all the world.
It was announced that in the evening service the 938 Docuseries depicting the life of veteran missionary Richard Konnerup would be shown. This Docuseries is available for download at www.Project938.world.
BBFI 1st VP of missions, John Theisen, closed the morning service in prayer.
