Thank you for your prayers for Bethany’s wedding. The weather was very nice - 50 degrees and sunny. It was beautiful and we are so happy for Bethany. I almost lost it halfway down the aisle but collected myself and made it through. Now, they are in Italy for their honeymoon. Pray for them as they are in the area where the coronavirus is rapidly spreading.
Speaking of the coronavirus, please be in prayer for all the missionaries and the people they work within the affected areas. Some missionaries were away from their country of service and are waiting to be able to return. This causes a lot of uncertainty and who knows what all the worldwide ramifications will be if this doesn’t get under control.
Check out our new BBFI store at store.bbfimissions.com. I’d like to encourage you to order things from this store. Please promote it at the churches you are in. More apparel with the BBFI logo will be coming soon, so keep checking the site periodically.
I’d also like to ask you to check out the new website for Beyond Borders at gobbfimissions.com. Please promote this with anyone who expresses a desire to do mission trips or internships on the mission field.
We also have a new recruiting tool -- an “Info Card.” These are cards we have available for you to carry with you so that when someone says they are interested in being a missionary, they can fill out this card and send it to the Mission Office. We will then take their information and help them through a step-by-step process in hopes that they will ultimately become a BBFI missionary. Come by the Mission Office and get some of these cards or contact us and we’ll send some to you. We also have several promotional brochures and cards that you can pick up from the office or request to have sent to you.
Our next edition of the Kidz4Missionz curriculum will be ready by the end of April. This one will focus on our missionaries in Latin America. There are video clips included. We are printing cards for those of you who will pass them out in our churches—we’d especially like to get them into the hands of the children’s directors. Every time a church signs up for the curriculum and orders it, you will receive a little something for referring them. Just make sure you tell them to mention your name when they request the materials. More information will be made available next month, but for now check out kids.bbfimissions.com.
Finally, and most importantly, we have hired a new person to take Jacque Burkholder’s position. Her name is Wendi Page. She started February 24 and is going through all her training and introduction to the Mission Office and BBFI missions. She will be Brian Garrison’s administrative assistant and will assume Jacque’s responsibilities. Please be patient with her as she learns all the details concerning her position. We are excited to have her on our team. I know Jacque is very happy. You can welcome Wendi by emailing her at Wendi@bbfimissions.com.
Be careful out there and may the Lord bless you and keep you while you stand up for Him and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is great to serve the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! We are on the winning side!
Your friend,
Jon
