Greetings from the Mission Office. I am writing to you today on a very serious matter: our Tax-Exempt status with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization. Simply put, we would very much like to maintain and enjoy this status for a long time to come. However, with this designation from the IRS comes certain responsibilities. And, if we (the Mission Office) do not fulfill our obligations we then risk the danger of losing our Non-Profit status. One of these areas is REPORTING ON TAX-EXEMPT FUNDS DISBURSED TO OUR MISSIONARIES. This is accomplished through receiving Quarterly Financial Reports from you, the missionary, which make these reports incredibly important.
Therefore, I am asking for your help. For those of you who have faithfully submitted your QR’s on time over the years, I want to say thank you and ask that you keep up the good work! For those who have struggled in this area of getting the QR to us in a timely manner I am asking that you step up your game so that we can all be right in the eyes of the IRS.
The global pandemic and its aftereffects brought many challenges our way. And because many of these challenges were somewhat out of our control, we have extended a considerable amount of grace. However, it is now time to get back to business as usual. Beginning this quarter (1st Quarter 2023) we will once again be enforcing the Reporting Guidelines more consistently. I am copying these guidelines below so that each of you know exactly what is expected. Thank you so much for your understanding and your valuable cooperation with this very important matter. If you have any questions, please reach out to me.
Due Dates and Deadlines for Quarterly Reports
Your quarterly report is now 45 days overdue. According to procedures, your end of month ministry deposit continues to be on HOLD. If you do not submit and finalize your quarterly report before closing, your Sending Pastor will be notified to enlist his help in obtaining your report. Continued delays will result in you being asked to come before the Field Committee in order to resolve this situation. Please have your completed quarterly report submitted and approved as soon as possible.
Serving with You,
