Janna Wisely recently joined our team here at the Mission Office as an Accounting Assistant. She has certainly been a welcome addition to our staff with her secretarial skills in finance and her love for missions. Let’s get to know her a little better.
Tell how and when you came to the Mission Office and what your role is.
I am actually returning to work at the Mission Office having worked here during 1995-2001. I had been praying for God’s direction for a part-time job. Bro. Konnerup approached me and asked if I was interested in a job. God used this to show me answered prayers in a visible way. I started working on the 26th of September. I will be assisting Heidi and Tammy in the Accounting department of the office.
Tell us about your family and your connection to missions.
I grew up in the home of parents that loved missions and attended a church growing up that also loved missions. I was fortunate to have two different pastors growing up that had been missionaries. I attended BBC and studied missions. I worked at the Mission Office for five years before taking a job at South Side Baptist Church as the Corporate Secretary. I currently attend Cherry Street Baptist Church which is a church that loves missionaries.
