Where does the Mission Office get its funds to operate?

Unlike most other clearinghouses for foreign missionaries, the BBFI Mission Office does not withhold any support from the missionary for our operating expenses.  Some organizations charge a percentage of each missionary’s support.  Others charge their missionaries a flat fee for their services.  However, with the BBFI, 100% sent in for support for a specific missionary goes to that missionary.  The Mission Office operates much like a missionary – by faith.  We ask churches to support our office so that we can continue to effectively and efficiently process funds and provide other services for the missionaries, pastors and churches of the BBFI.  (NOTE:  Currently, it costs $4.50 per missionary per month to support the entire operating expenses of the Mission Office.  For example, if a church supports ten BBFI missionaries, it would be a blessing if they would support the Mission Office $45.00 per month to offset the expense of processing their contributions. With the current economic issues we are all facing, the amount would be more like $5.50 per missionary per month.)
