On October 22 and 23, the BBFI Mission Office held a missions emphasis event on the campus of Mission University in Springfield, Missouri. The World Mission Forum is an opportunity for Mission U students to hear from missionaries and learn about the opportunities for missionary service that are available through BBFI Missions.

On Tuesday, the student body of Mission University learned about the World Initiative Network (WIN) and heard firsthand from several WIN missionaries about the need for more laborers. World Initiative Network missionaries, Keri Kondracki, Elliot Duenow, and Nicko Guyer challenged the students to prayerfully consider becoming missionaries to reach the world with the Gospel. BBFI Mission Director, Jon Konnerup and BBFI Associate Mission Director, Brian Garrison presented the mission of BBFI Missions and the various opportunities to serve that are available through both BBFI and WIN.

On Wednesday, Mission U students who are seeking ministry degrees attended a special morning of sessions and presentations geared at equipping them with the information and resources they will need for their future ministries. BBFI Mission Director, Jon Konnerup opened with an introduction to what the BBFI Mission Office is and how it serves our missionaries and churches around the world. Next, students were divided into break-out sessions to hear from Pastor Dennis Jennings regarding “Missions in the Church”. Others attended a special Q&A panel made up of BBFI & WIN missionaries where students could engage directly with the missionaries on a variety of topics. In closing, the students heard testimonials from veteran BBFI missionaries Jim Eberhard, Matt Moeller, and Rex Harmon about their experiences both in ministry and in partnering with the BBFI Mission Office.

Please pray for the students of Mission University who are prayerfully considering God’s plan for their lives and careers. Pray that these young people will surrender to the Lord’s call on their lives as they continue their education. We hope that many of them will choose to partner with BBFI Missions and WIN to take the Gospel to every nation and every people as we labor together to fulfill the Great Commission.
