Every day, the safety of our missionaries is being challenged. Many of the instances are considered “minor” and go unreported by the missionaries but there are too many times these “attacks” could have been fatal, yet your missionary forges on. It is instances like this that reinforce the necessity of the Missionary Care ministry of the BBFI Mission Office.
The safety and wellbeing of the men, women and their children serving on the mission fields are a top priority to us in the BBFI Mission Office. Therefore, when emergency calls are received, we listen to the missionary, give counsel, and pray with them. Regardless of the time of the day or night, we respond as needed.
Because of the Missionary Care Offering, the Mission Office has access to funds that enable us to respond immediately to those in crisis. Since the inception of the Missionary Care Offering in January of 2017, the Mission Office has been able to minister instantly to families whose lives were changed in a moment.
The Missionary Care Offering also funds International Missionary Retreats making it possible for missionaries to attend, allowing them to reunite with missionary friends and Mission Office staff to build a stronger bond and be spiritually and physically ministered to and refreshed.
Investing in our missionaries through the Missionary Care Offering helps strengthen them so they can more effectively love, evangelize and disciple people resulting in new churches being started around the world.
There are several ways in which we can provide immediate assistance to our missionaries, but we need your help. Will you:
By promising an annual gift or committing to support monthly you can make a difference.
Will you help us help our missionaries by giving to the Missionary Care Offering?
For the sake of Souls,
Steve Bender, BBFI Associate Mission Director
