I had a wonderful, fruitful trip to Papua New Guinea. It is amazing to see the work that God has done through our missionaries and national leaders there. My heart was so blessed and encouraged. There are hundreds of churches there today because of their efforts and God’s blessings. I only wish I had gone there years ago when some of our missionaries who have passed or retired would have been there. It would have been a memorable experience to fly around with Jim Blume from village to village.
Quick update: I have hired former BBFI missionary, Mike Hillhouse, to take Steve Bender’s place when he retires in December. Mike will begin in January 2026. He and his wife, Pam, were missionaries in Burkina Faso for 16+ years. We look forward to him joining our team here at the Mission Office overseeing missionary care and other areas.
We are in our fifth year of Project 938. Many are praying. God is answering as we hear of many surrendering to serve the Lord. We hear from youth groups across the country and churches who are seeing results. I would guess the most results are coming from international ministries as I hear from our leaders around the world of those who are ready to serve the Lord. So, next year the challenge will remain the same, but we will be adding an emphasis to GO! Would you help the cause by continuing to pray but also to “recruit” or challenge young people and couples to serve the Lord internationally? Please challenge churches to send forth more laborers and for people to surrender to go.
Our building project is moving forward. So far, we have completed the new office building, event center and short-term apartments. After delays on the retirement apartments we are back on track toward finishing them. They have installed the insulation, drywall, air and heating units, electricity, textured the walls and ceilings and almost finished the painting. Next is the flooring and cabinets for the kitchens and bathrooms. They are coming together nicely. I think Pam and I just might move into one of them. J Check out THIS LINK to get a glimpse of the progress. This was taken before the drywall was started on the retirement apartments. There will be more updates soon.
This January, we are going to be offering a new option related to your tax documents. If you would like to receive your tax documents digitally, you will need to fill out an authorization form that is required by the IRS. Once you have signed and submitted the form, you will be given access to all your tax documents going back to 2021 by simply logging in to MyToolbox.world. Then, each year the new tax documents will be added, and an email will be sent informing you when they are ready. Please watch for more details coming soon from the Mission Office.
