As I sit down to write this month’s letter, I just want to say how thankful I am for each of you. It is easy for the months to fly by, but please know that you have not been forgotten. We continue to pray for you, your families, and the work God has entrusted to you.
MK Care videos – on https://mytoolbox.world/reports.aspx, under a folder labeled “MK Care”, there are five videos that might be a helpful resource for parents and their MKs preparing to transition to the US. I hope you will take advantage of these resources. You can also contact Mychelle Garrison for more information at mgarrison@bbfimissions.com.
The September National Meeting will be on September 21-23 in the Boston area at Grace Church – Pastor Sean Sears. If you are planning on being there, look me up. I would love to visit with you. Also, we have a couple being approved and if you would like to sit in on the approval committee, contact my assistant, Carole, by emailing her at cmiller@bbfimissions.com.
I thought I would let you know of a neat upcoming event. We have a good number of retired missionaries who live in the Springfield area. We are hosting a luncheon for them on September 3 at our Event Center. It will be a time to encourage them and for them to fellowship with others. We plan to do this periodically throughout the year.
As we enter the last stretch of the year, some of you will be on furlough and participating in Mission Conferences and speaking in churches. Missionaries are the best recruiters we have for new missionaries. We know the Holy Spirit calls people, but we can all do our part in sharing of the many opportunities there are to serve around the world. God is still calling.
We are thankful for your faithfulness and for the opportunity to stand with you in the work God has called you to do. Keep going, keep trusting the Lord, and keep your eyes on Him. The work is worth it, and your faithfulness matters.
May the Lord give you fresh strength, encouragement, and joy in the days ahead.
We are praying for you and looking forward to seeing what God will continue to do through your ministry!
Your friend,
Jon Konnerup
