The following were approved as BBFI Career Missionaries at our first-ever virtual Missionary Candidate Approvals on Friday, July 17.
Tyler, saved during church camp at the age of 16, has long felt drawn to working on the mission field. Growing up at mission-minded Park Crest Baptist Church (Springfield, MO), and taking his first foreign mission trip to Nicaragua right out of high school helped instill in him a deep desire to return and do ministry in Central America. Tyler is excited to return to Nicaragua with Park Crest as his sending church. He can be reached at tyler.carleton@bbfimissions.org.

Wade and Shannon have spent a lifetime of surrender to however God wanted to use them. After serving in church in multiple capacities, they again asked God if He had something more for them. Two years later, God showed them His plan for them would be in Nicaragua where they began working with Familia Avance Nicaragua in establishing churches. Upon completion of a mentorship with missionary Brian Weed, they recently accepted the role as Executive Directors of Familia Avance Nicaragua. Now thirty years after their first mission trip as teenagers, they are sent by Desert Springs Community Church (Goodyear, AZ) and are fully engaged in “living, serving, and thriving in Nicaragua.” They can be reached at wade.cooperrider@bbfimissions.org.

The spiritual and physical poverty of the Dominican Republic pricked the hearts of Joshua and Teah Lane. After serving faithfully through Good News Clubs, Children’s Church, VBS, pulpit supply, bus routes and mission trips, God moved them forward to an internship on the field with Wes and Melina Lane. Building on what they already knew, they began more extensive teaching, preaching, visitation and evangelism, church construction until during their last six months there, they assumed oversight of all ministries while Wes and Melina were able to take a furlough. Sent by Hillside Baptist Church (Springfield, MO), Joshua and Teah are anxious to get back to the field where they know God has called them to serve. They can be reached at joshua.lane@bbfimissions.org.

Eric and Ashley have immersed themselves fully in ministry, working with their now sending church Lighthouse Baptist (Xenia, OH) not only in preparation for going to the field, but also during their TEAM internship while in Costa Rica. While in language school there, they gained valuable knowledge learning alongside a national pastor working and thriving in a young church plant before moving to Tegucipalpa, Honduras to begin establishing their residency. After a quick trip to the US to gain needed residency documents turned into COVID-19 delays, they have engaged in visiting additional churches while they eagerly wait clearance to return and begin anew in reaching Hondurans for Christ. They can be contacted at eric.woodworth@bbfimissions.org.
